British actress Lauren Cohan has become a familiar face to TV viewers in the past few years thanks to recurring roles on Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries and Chuck. But she’s now spending time fighting zombies on The Walking Dead as Maggie Greene, the farmer’s daughter who’s stepped up into a bigger combat role this season, after joining the series in Season 2.
I sat down with Cohan to discuss Maggie’s evolution, the show’s change of scenery this season, how she’ll react to Hershel’s recent dramatic injury and more.
IGN TV: Season 3 picked up a few months later, and that allowed some of the characters to evolve in different ways. With Maggie, she really seems to be part of the “A-Team” now, as it were – we saw early on the premiere that she’s become a part of the group that leads the way. Were you excited to see that?
