Previously only available on Android devices, Google Now is finally available for iOS users. As an alternative to Apple's own personal assistant, Siri, Google Now offers detailed updates and information custom-tailored to you. The service is included as part of an update to the Google Search App.
Google Now originally launched as a part of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean back in the summer of 2012. For obvious reasons, Apple's take on the competing service has seemed a bit awkward at times. Just last month, Google's Eric Schmidt claimed the company was waiting on approval from Cupertino to bring Now to iOS. Later that same day, Apple claimed it was never submitted.
