Trusted sources close to Sony tell IGN that Jack Tretton is stepping down as the President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America, the home company of the PlayStation brand.
Tretton is stepping down March 31st of this year. He will be replaced by Sony Network Entertainment International EVP and COO Shawn Layden.
At PlayStation since 1995, Tretton worked his way up the ranks at the company and was there during the lifecycles of PlayStation, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, and PlayStation 3.
