New MGS: Ground Zeroes Images Detail Fox Engine, iDroid App IGN All

A new batch of concept art and screenshots showcase day and night cycles in Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, as well as the iDroid app, a second-screen addition that lets players perform secondary tasks for the upcoming prequel.


The app essentially mimics protagonist Snake's in-game communication device, allowing players to call in air support, bring up in-game maps and listen to cassette tapes collected throughout Ground Zeroes, in an effort to improve Mother Base. The app is free on iOS, Android and Smart Glass platforms.


The new screens also show Snake boarding and driving vehicles, sneaking around dimly lit areas and the iconic villain Psycho Mantis, famous for reading players' memory cards in the original Metal Gear Solid, and for "manipulating" controllers to vibrate across a flat surface.
