The second half of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD's first season is really ramping up the inclusion of Marvel Comics characters, which will continue with the introduction of Adrian Pasdar (Heroes) as Glenn Talbot on an upcoming episode. Fans of the Hulk comic books will recognize Talbot as an old school member of Bruce Banner's supporting cast - an antagonistic presence who often assisted General Thunderbolt Ross in hunting the Hulk and also was Bruce's rival for the affections of Betty Banner.
A previous SHIELD episode name-dropped Emil Blonsky (The Abomination), who appeared in The Incredible Hulk (played by Tim Roth), so it seems as though SHIELD -- with its ties to the same military-type characters as the Hulk often has -- might be the place for the Hulk's bigger cast to feel a bit more part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, until the day the Hulk once again gets his own film.
