Note: I’ve already posted a spoiler-free overall review of The Clone Wars: Season 6, but for these individual episode reviews, full spoilers are included.
Written by Katie Lucas (who has penned some terrific episodes of this series through the years), The Clone Wars began its sixth and final season with an exciting installment that included some very appreciated touches. First off, given this show’s title, and the many great episodes devoted to the subject, it was gratifying to see a storyline so centered on the clones themselves, as we near the end. Secondly, this episode put the spotlight squarely on Order 66, a topic that already is of course pivotal in Star Wars history, but has been long overdue for some official canon elaboration on how it exactly worked. This show has raised that question even more through the years, as we saw the Clones as such specific, individual personalities and really felt their camaraderie with the Jedi. How could they so coldly turn on them and murder them in cold blood?
