Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 6 is debuting on Netflix on Friday, March 7th, giving us the final thirteen episodes of the Emmy-award winning animated series. With The Clone Wars about to truly wrap up, we're looking back at the show's 10 best episodes. There were plenty who were skeptical of The Clone Wars when it began, but over the years, Dave Filoni and his collaborators on the series proved it could offer some truly amazing Star Wars stories, exploring many different facets of the universe and characters both new and old.
Note: Spoilers do follow for Season 1-5. And yes, there will eventually be an update to this list, taking into account Season 6.
The first few episodes of The Clone Wars found a show still working out a lot of kinks and there were a lot of frustrations with just how young-skewing much of it felt initially. Star Wars is ultimately a family-friendly property, but was The Clone Wars not intended for adult fans at all? "Rookies" was a huge stepping stone for the series, removing almost all of the more silly and comical bits and telling an intense story about a group of Clone Troopers going through one hell of a night. It really helped elevate the use of the Clones on the series, and how we'd get to know them as individuals, despite their genetic template. Also, the introduction of the Commando Battle Droids was a great way too provide a much fiercer and scarier alternative to the goofy Battle Droids.
