The term game changer is overused in television, but it feels appropriate to say in connection with Dexter, after the events at the end of Season 6.
Deb saw Dexter kill a man, plain and simple – a moment the entire series has been heading towards. True, this doesn’t tell Debra everything about her brother’s history, but it’s a huge, jaw-dropping deal and the can of worms it opens is as deep as one can image.
I spoke to Dexter himself, Michael C. Hall, about how Dexter handles this going forward and what to expect as the series – which is renewed through Season 8 next year – moves towards its conclusion. Note, some spoilers for Season 7 follow, though I think it's safe to assume Hall knew what is safe to talk about now and what bigger secrets he needed to keep quiet about for the time being.
