Arrow: "Honor Thy Father" Review IGN All

Warning: full episode spoilers follow.


Though not without its problems, Arrow got off to a promising start with last week's series premiere. I was curious to see if there would be any tangible difference in style or execution between the pilot and the second episode. In terms of both strengths and flaws, this episode was very much in the vein of the first.


This episode saw Ollie settle a bit more into his new role as Green Arrow. he need to right social wrong and cross off the names on his father's list looks to be the driving force of the show for the foreseeable future. I like that the show is reflecting Ollie's socially conscious, left-leaning side, something that tends to creep in and out of the Green Arrow comics at differing points. It helps the show feel a bit more relevant, even if the various evil businessmen Ollie has clashed with so far are no more complex than your average Golden Age Superman villain.
