Activision has announced that Call of Duty Elite services will be free to Black Ops II players. The service will include several ways to track stats, team up with friends and more at no cost to all players, regardless of whether they’ve been Elite members in the past.
Instead of obtaining map packs through their Elite membership, Black Ops II players will have the option of buying four pieces of downloadable content individually for $15 each (1200 Microsoft Points) or get all four via a Black Ops II Season Pass for $49.95 (4000 Microsoft Points). According to Activision, the packs will include both multiplayer and Zombies content and will arrive in 2013, with more details to be revealed "at a later date."
