Deb was always safest at shore, but is Dexter safest without Deb?
An interesting question, and one that Dexter doesn't yet realize the answer to. Even though, after "Swim Deep," we do.
This week's great episode kept the Dexter and Deb dynamic moving forward, and evolving in very interesting ways while also giving us a cool, creaky peek inside Hannah's dark lies and an awesome mini-"cat and mouse" game between Dexter and Isaak (spelled with a "K," I've now learned). It was a busy episode, and not as singularly focused as last week's epic "Run," but everything fit together nicely under the theme of "Dexter thinks he's got everything under control."
