Ghost Recon Commander has been canceled. The news comes via the Twitter page of Brenda Romero, co-founder of Loot Drop, the developer of the game. According to Romero, “Today, Ghost Recon Commander was cancelled. As a result, we laid off a team of kick-ass developers.”
Romero adds that “If you have openings, ping me” and goes on to say that she can “personally recommend these devs” and “worked with them under tight deadlines to ship a product that was nominated for an award (got runner-up).” She notes that Loot Drop “still have two projects in the works (one live), and another in design” but that “right now, I care about the people we had to lay off.” Employees affected include “coders, server coders, asst designers, artists and an amazing QA guy.” Romero added “thanks to Ubisoft, as well, for the opportunity to work on the Ghost Recon franchise.”
