The Optimus G, LG's current Android flagship, is a beautifully designed phone with impressive internals. But its AT&T-bound US version runs a heavily (and not attractively) skinned version of the already outdated Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), with no hint of a Jelly Bean update. Bummer.
So we're stoked to see CNet reporting that LG will partner with Google to release a Nexus version of the Optimus G. The device will reportedly be announced by the end of the month, with an expected release before year's end.
