NYCC: The Venture Bros. Smoke Up Comic-Con IGN All

The dynamic, wonderfully weird duo of Doc Hammer and Jackson Publick -- a.k.a. the creators of the Adult Swim favorite The Venture Bros. -- made their return to New York Comic-Con today on the eve of the show's return with new episodes. As usual, it was a fast-paced, madcap affair in the IGN Theater that resulted in little by way of actual news or reveals about upcoming storylines, but was pretty much a blast anyway.


Things kicked off with an animated applause sign and intro to Let's All Smoking, a mock talk show (circa 1970-ish and also featuring everyone's favorite, long-forgotten puppet Madame) hosted by the pair and featuring "special guests" Michael Sinterniklaas and Paul Boocock (who also happen to be voice actors from The Venture Bros.). The group sat Don Draper style on stage in lounge chairs, smoking fake cigarettes and drinking Fresca, and going off on all kinds of tangents in between showing off short clips from new episodes.
