ShootMania: Storm encompasses a ton of different game modes, all of them being intended for more casual play than for competition. A few of these modes have become very popular during the ShootMania beta, and we'll talk about them here.
Royal mode: If you watch the video above, you'll see a fairly complete overview of how this mode works. Basically, players are all entered into a free for all arena with a Goal at the center or far end of the map. Players race to the Goal to activate it and earn points based on how many other players are in the server. Activating the Goal triggers the OffZone, an electrified wall that gradually closes in around the Goal, eliminating all players that come into contact with it. Players can also earn points by shooting more and more of their opponents, with consecutive shots granting more points the more you land. The final and most significant source of points is survival. If you are the first person eliminated in a round, you'll only earn 1 point. If you're the second person out, you'll earn 2, and so on until only two players remain. The final two players duel for bonus points, again based on how many other people are in the game.
