Strike Back: Season 2 Finale Review IGN All

3...2...1...wait, are we supposed to go on one or zero?


Strike Back: Vengeance, known as Season 2 here in the States, came to a thrilling end, circling back to South Africa where Conrad Knox had planned to detonate two nukes in the underground bank tunnels underneath Johannesburg. Stonebridge and Scott not only had to disarm the bombs while Major Dalton dealt with Knox and his dead man's trigger, but Stonebridge also had to settle things once and for all with wife-muderer, Craig Hanson. I mean, that was the overall "vengeance" part of a season named Vengeance, right?


"Episode 10, Series 3" (this show can never be accused of being ostentatious with titles) was everything one could have wanted in a season capper. And my favorite part of Strike Back, aside from the five two-parter format, is that you can really look back at the end of a season and see the journey that the heroes took. And see how it all makes sense. And how each situation and location, and adversary, was really well-defined, unique and memorable. Plus, with this season primarily taking place, or at least most memorably taking place, in South Africa and Uganda, a viewer can really feel it as having an stand-apart identity. Which is very important for an action series like this. Bullet storms and exotic locales can easily blend together and mean nothing if done poorly.
