SAJ had seen enough of scarra's Gragas and IWD's Shyvana to know that they would rather not deal with it. Dignitas banned Evelynn in general respect of the region's ability with her. Every lane match up was out of the ordinary for the first minutes of the game. Patoy on Nunu roamed with Dominate's Udyr up to top lane to join Corki (imaqtpie) for a gank on Jayce (QTV), but Udyr and Jayce only traded Flashes. Shen (crumbzz) tried to take early control of bottom lane against Karthus (NIXWATER) but soon paid for it as Malphite (Violet) came from the rear tri brush. Shen's flash did not create enough distance and the Jokers took first blood.
