Racing fans with a PlayStation 3 have already played Gran Turismo 5, and now they’re eagerly awaiting news on Gran Turismo 6, whether it’s on PS3 or Sony’s yet-to-be-announced next generation console. We know that Gran Turismo 6 is in development, with Bathurst rumored to be in the game. We even spotted a survey in the wild indicating that Gran Turismo on PlayStation Vita may be coming.
But such speculation would be for naught if Sony’s fully-owned racing developer Polyphony Digital wasn’t selling games. Yet, as Gaming Vogue points out, via Polyphony Digital’s own sales numbers, the most recent addition to the series sold exceptionally well, and the rest of the franchise continues to push outrageous numbers at retail.
