Last Resort: "Big Chicken Dinner" Review IGN All

Note: Full spoilers for the episode follow.


My apologies, I have to keep this review short, as I’m on a work trip in Vancouver. Which may be for the best, since I was not a fan of this episode, as much as I really like Last Resort overall.


Overall, the whole situation this week felt too Law and Order: Sainte Marina and in way too big a rush, as we quickly jumped into a trial after Anders was accused of rape by a local girl – And man, the trial was over in two seconds, wasn’t it?


The idea of an islander accusing one of the Colorado crew of rape certainly could have made for a compelling and dark story, but it just felt very awkward here – the fact that we didn’t know the girl at all and barely knew Anders leant it that procedural “here are some random characters in the middle of a crisis” feel, and the revelation about Grace’s own rape also felt rather clumsily included – I like Grace a lot and this should have been a reveal that packed a wallop, but it just felt kind of there and random in the way it was suddenly brought into the story.
