Producer Chris Columbus is said to have picked a writer to script his planned remake of Young Sherlock Holmes, a 1985 film that Columbus scripted.
TheWrap reports that Paramount is in talks with Evan Spiliotopoulos (The Lion King 1 1/2) to script the film. His other credits include Battle for Terra and Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure. He's also worked on Asteroids, Ouija, and Wanted 2.
