Chances are the biggest Borderlands 2 fans have completed the story at least once by now. Gearbox and 2K know this, which is why the next piece of DLC, Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt, is the first to take place after the end of the main game. As anyone who’s played the previous two expansions has come to expect, Big Game Hunt adds more quests, more loot, more enemies and more pieces of Pandora to explore. Most importantly, it seems to stay true to the witty, sometimes crude humor that defined Borderlands 2.
Big Game Hunt brings back Sir Hammerlock, the prissy gentleman of Pandora who serves as your guide as you venture boldly into harrowing new environments. You join Hammerlock on a hunting adventure, and many quests involve tracking down and killing beasts. Sometimes this might be a familiar enemy type, but Big Game Hunt is full of new creatures to battle, such as long-legged insectile behemoths and floating spore enemies that break apart and harm you with elemental damage.
