Spoilers within.
This review will have a major spoiler in it, so if you haven't read Batman Inc. #6 do so now and come back. This issue pushes the conflict between Batman and Leviathan even closer to the brink. Talia's master plan is finally kicking into high gear, and the results are violent and bloody. Also, and perhaps most importantly, the number of animals living in the Batcave is growing. First we got Batcow, now we have Alfred cat. Let's get these furry little guys their own book.
Grant Morrison is really messing with us now. Last issue, we had a giant explosion that took out members of Batman Inc. This issue, we see the aftermath and the devastation. First we see that Knight and Squire barely survived the bomb. Whew! That was a close one, right? Then, you turn the page and Knight has his neck brutally crushed by one of Leviathan's goons! What the hell, Morrison?! You give us Alfred cat in the same issue where you take away Knight? That's some cruel stuff.
