Team Ninja has announced a bunch of new stuff for their upcoming Vita beat-em-up Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus, including two new modes and a slew of new weapons for protagonist Ryu Hyabusa.
“Ninja Race” mode challenges players to fight their way through levels as quickly as possible as a clock winds down to their impending demise. They'll grab balls of Green Essence to add time to the clock, White Essence to build their Combo Kill meter (which allows them to deal a great amount of damage), and Purple Essence for speed boosts.
Also coming are “Tag Missions,” levels in which players will have to switch back and forth between characters to complete difficult enemies.
Ryu will also be getting his hands on a group of new weapons, including the huge sword “Emma's Fang,” the baton-like “Tonfas,” and the “Falcon's Talons,” which are worn on both the hands and feet for extra destruction.
