So we learned who Drew Thompson was this week and it's... Shelby. It became a little obvious after last week with the talk of Shelby’s ex-wife and suddenly he was getting a backstory and so on. There weren’t a lot of other possibilities, but it was hidden well enough for this to be a surprise to a number of viewers at least and that’s worth the price of admission.
Regardless of what you think of Shelby being Thompson, this was a very good episode out of the gate. Raylan, not being one to sit on the sidelines, got himself active after being told immediately to take two days bereavement. Classic Raylan. Naturally, Art had a meltdown and it was awesome because Art is awesome.
