Once Upon a Time: “The Queen is Dead” Review IGN All

Note: Full spoilers for the episode follow.


Just when you think you’ll never see Baelfire go to Storybrooke, Hook shows up to force the plot in the correct direction. It fits. Hook is all for brash moves instead of underhand plotting so why not take his magic ship to New York and track down his crocodile? Hook came out of nowhere and blindsided everyone and was smart enough to poison Mr. Gold instead of just stabbing him. Huzzah for pirates!


Since Baelfire is not a complete tool, he doesn’t want to see his father die. It was nice to see the touch of compassion. The writers took the opportunity to answer a lingering question about Bae, too. He’s not a couple hundred years old because it seems he didn’t spend all of his time in our world. Hmm. Regardless of how convenient it is for him to end up in Storybrooke, I’m glad we get more of him in the story.
