Though recent Marvel solicitations have teased a story promoting the end of X-Factor, we've now got confirmation that those teases are more than just a storyline.
Announced at the X-Men panel at C2E2, Marvel revealed that the long saga of Madrox and friends would be coming to an end with September's issue #262.
Peter David has been building the world of X-Factor for over twenty years, so he'll be leaving behind one of the most beloved and consistently enjoyable -- if sometimes woefully underappreciated -- comic book runs of all time. The choice to end the series doesn't seem to be related to David's recent health issues, as editor Jordan D. White said David just realized that he'd gone as big as he could go, and it was time to end the story.
