Da Vinci's Demons: "The Prisoner" Review IGN All

Leonardo Da Vinci continues to show his investigative prowess when he’s alerted to an epidemic of so-called “Demonic Possession” at a nearby convent. It serves as another opportunity to show the audience how clever Da Vinci is and how diabolically wicked the will of the Holy Roman Church can be. Meanwhile, the hunt for the mole in the House of Medici continues forcing Lucrezia to take drastic measures to protect her true intentions.


There is some gruesome imagery in “The Prisoner” which goes hand-in-hand with the subject matter of demonic possession. The encounter with the first nun who is supposedly possessed is chilling and the unexpected eye stabbing was horrific. It did a great job of ramping up the immediacy of the situation though, even if Da Vinci wouldn’t react immediately as he was too self-absorbed in his own quest for the Book of Leaves.
