Age of Ultron only launched a month ago, but Marvel hasn't been shy about revealing what's coming up at the end of this event comic and beyond. We already know to expect a surprising new guest star in Age of Ultron #10. We also know that a new ongoing series called Avengers A.I. will spin out of Age of Ultron in July. Now Marvel is looking beyond Age of Ultron entirely and revealing their next big event storyline for 2013.
As USA Today revealed this morning, this event will be called Infinity. This six-issue mini-series will be written by Jonathan Hickman and drawn by Jim Cheung, Jerome Opena, and Dustin Weaver. The story officially kicks off with the previously announced Infinity one-shot special that Marvel is releasing on Free Comic Book Day (May 4), while the main mini-series will launch in August.
