Today, Sony has revealed that it’s rolling out an “Indie Games” category on the PlayStation Store specifically for PS Vita. As you may know, Sony did something similar for PlayStation 3 last month. This is to accommodate the 50 independent titles currently in development for Vita, with “more on the way.”
Hotline Miami – which we will be reviewing shortly on both PS3 and Vita – is the first game to join this new category, one populated by 52 other games, including Guacamelee!, Limbo, Machinarium, Sound Shapes, and Thomas Was Alone. Sony promises that titles like Counterspy, Flower, Hohokum, Luftrausers, Spelunky, and Terraria will be right behind it.
What indie games have you been playing on Vita? Which ones are you planning on picking up in the future?
