Xbox One Controller Hands-on IGN All

In May, Microsoft showcased early prototypes of the Xbox One's new controller, showing off only how its new "impulse triggers," but now at E3, I had a chance to use the finalized version and play a few games. Does it trump the already high-reputation of the Xbox 360 controller?


In-hand, the Xbox One controller feels almost indiscernable from the Xbox 360. While Microsoft has adjusted the grips slightly, the weight, shape, and texture of the design is largely the same. What's most most apparent, however, are the reshaped triggers and shoulder buttons. Microsoft has kept the convex shape, but tapered the left and right sides of the triggers to flow naturally into the base of the controller and follow the arch of your index finger. The shoulder buttons have also been revised to flow more naturally.
