While it’s impossible to ignore the fact that Microsoft and Sony are on the cusp of releasing their new consoles, it’s also wise to take a moment and remember that Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 are still alive, and honestly, stronger than ever. This year has already delivered generation-defining experiences like BioShock Infinite and The Last of Us, and that’s only the beginning.
Many of this year's most anticipated games, such as Call of Duty: Ghost, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, and Watch Dogs are going to be available on both generations of consoles. But more importantly, the next year is already crammed with great-looking games that can only be played on the consoles that millions of us already own.
