Beware the Batman: "Broken" Review IGN All

Full Bat-spoilers follow.


When "statues" of full-size tin soldiers begin appearing on the sidewalks of Gotham, Batman finds himself up against a villain straight out of the nursery rhymes Alfred probably read to him as a child (because, let's face it, the Waynes weren't around to do any reading). Yes, Humpy Dumpty is in town!


The lines between good and bad and the not very good and the very bad are blurred a bit in this episode, which is an aspect of Beware the Batman that I enjoy. Not only is Humpty -- a.k.a. former mob accountant and misshapen poor bastard Humphry Dumpler -- as tragic as he is "bad," but the relationship between Batman and Jim Gordon continues to be a bumpy one, to say the least.
