Adam De La Peña, the creator of Code Monkeys, has returned with a new animated series, Outlands. Launching as part of Geek Week on YouTube yesterday, as one of the programs on Felicia Day's Geek & Sundry channel, the series is in the 8-bit-influenced visual style of Code Monkeys, revolving around the crew on a space ship. Given the setting, it's no surprise many sci-fi films are referenced, evoked or parodied, from 2001 to Aliens. Day is among the voice cast on the series.
