Namco: Soulcalibur 2 HD Online Wii U “Isn’t Out of the Question” IGN PS3

According to Namco, the idea of Soulcalibur II HD coming to Wii U, “Isn’t out of the question.” So says Masaaki Hoshino, producer of the renowned fighting series.


At a Namco-Bandai Tokyo Game Show event, the company showed off the newest installments in the series, including the free-to-play Soulcalibur Lost Swords, as well as Soulcalibur II HD Online, which is coming to XBLA and PSN. When the question a question was asked regarding why it isn’t coming to Wii U, Hoshino offered that vague, but slightly hopeful answer.


The original version of the game initially launched on GameCube, PlayStation 2, and Xbox back in 2003. Each version contained an exclusive character – Link on GCN, Heihachi on PS2, and Spawn on Xbox. But with this HD remake is only coming to PSN and XBLA, the chance of brawling at Link was lost.
