Captain America: Living Legend was originally solicited as Astonishing Captain America and was intended to be released prior to the movie in 2011. Obviously that didn't happen. Now the series has been re-branded and is hitting the stands with ample time to get the collected edition out for the next movie. Was the long wait worth it? Not really. Living Legend #1 offers a perfectly decent Cap story, but like most of the random mini-series and side projects that spring up alongside these movies, it doesn't have anything particularly ground-breaking to offer.
