The Incredible Hulk and Clash of the Titans director Louis Leterrier is joining forces with Sacha Baron Cohen for a spy action-comedy called Grimsby at Paramount.
Variety reports that the film is about a “British black ops agent who is forced to go on the run with his long-lost brother, who is a northern English soccer hooligan.” Baron Cohen and Phil Johnston pitched the film over the summer, and the studio jumped in.
Leterrier is coming off the success of his magician-caper picture Now You See Me, while Baron Cohen until recently had that Freddy Mercury biopic on his plate. The actor-comedian reportedly picked Leterrier for Grimsby due to the helmer’s action experience; the stunt and explosion type stuff will figure prominently in the film alongside the comedy.
