For the second time this week, Shia LaBeouf is making headlines for apparently plagiarizing the work of another author and passing it off as his own. Labeouf has already apologized for using the story and dialogue from artist Daniel Clowes’ graphic novel Justin M. Damiano in his short film HowardCantour.com. The new accusations say that LeBouf’s 2012 comic Let’s F**king Party copies passages written by poet Charles Bukowski and that his Stale N Mate steals from French novelist Benoit Duteurtre.
Buzzfeed has a full list of lifted passages, the first of which were noticed by comic book author Josh Farkas. They’re pretty undeniable. For example, this is from LeBeouf’s Stale N Mate:
