Robotoki has plans to do more than just develop games internally; the company, led by former Infinity Ward creative strategist Robert Bowling, also intends to create original video content with its newly created entertainment division.
"I think the problem with developers that are just focused on the games that they’re making all the time is the only time you talk to your community is when you need something," Bowling told Game Front. "Just as in real life, that’s a terrible way to build a relationship. I think relationships with your community are very important."
As a result, this entertainment division at Robotoki won't simply be creating footage for marketing purposes; it will potentially be making things like original short films, shows, and animated shorts. Beyond that, it will also go about highlighting individual developers -- including those who don't work for Robotoki -- and their work.
