Hands On with Samsung's Curved Smartphone IGN All

LG isn't the only company with a curved phone at CES; Samsung is showing off its new Galaxy Round as well. Like LG's offering, the Galaxy Round features a curved OLED display, but unlike the G Flex, Samsung's phone is curved along a vertical axis. The Galaxy Curve is also a bit smaller, sporting a 5.7-inch 1080p display along with a faux-leather backing—characteristics we've seen on Samsung's Galaxy Note 3.


The Galaxy Round that I had the opportunity to use was a Korean model, so unfortunately I wasn't able to experience all of the software due to my lack of familiarity with the native language. But a Samsung representative was able to walk us through a few new features that utilized the phone's unique hardware design. One of which is Quick Glance, which causes the phone show you the time and a few notifications icons when you hold down one side of the device when the screen is turned off, and the other is the ability to skip music tracks using the same action.
