As is customary every year, EA has put its latest Madden game -- in this case, Madden NFL 25 -- to the task of predicting the winner of the Super Bowl. With Super Bowl XLVIII now less than a week away, Madden has predicted the Denver Broncos will top the Seattle Seahawks with a 31-28 overtime victory.
According to the account EA shared of the simulated game today, the first half was a defensive-oriented one, the highlight of which was a Richard Sherman interception returned for a touchdown. The first half ended with a 10-7 lead for the Seahawks.
In the second half, the Broncos scored three touchdowns (one each for Demaryius Thomas, Wes Welker, and Knowshon Moreno), but surrendered a last-second touchdown run to Marshawn Lynch and a subsequent two-point conversion to force overtime. After forcing a punt, the Broncos managed to reach the Seahawks' 30-yard line and secure the win with a 48-yard field goal from Matt Prater.
