At the TCA (Television Critics Association) press tour today, Orphan Black’s co-creator Graeme Manson and stars Tatiana Maslany (“Sarah”, “Alison”, “Cosima” and many more...) and Jordan Gavaris (“Felix”) were on hand to discuss Season 2 of BBC America’s breakout series.
The panel began with an clip from the show – the opening sequence to Season 2. If you don’t want to read the description, skip ahead past the next three paragraphs!
With Kira and Mrs. S taken, Sarah desperatly strides down the street, calling Felix. She gets his voice mail and screams, “They took them! They took Kira and Mrs. S!” She goes into an empty diner and takes a seat, trying to call Alison – only to get an out of service signal. She then calls Cosima – and gets another out of service signal. She tries Paul, and is exasperated getting his voice mail, asking, “Paul, what the hell is going on?” She stares down at the photo she received in the finale, from 1977, when her phone rings and she sees it’s Paul’s phone. Except when she answers, it’s Rachel on the other end. Rachel calmly tells Sarah, “There’s a painless way to reunite with Siobhan and Kira. Simply surrender yourself.” To which Sarah yells, “Rachel, you bitch!”, telling her she’s not her subject. But Rachel tells her the offer she made still stands, as we see that Paul is with her.
