Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare's Horde Mode is Garden Ops IGN All

Defending your garden against endless waves of zombies in Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare's Garden Ops multiplayer mode is a thrill. Unlike the Team Vanquish mode where you try to wipe out the pesky plants or zany zombies, this four-player co-op mode is all about working together to keep your precious garden alive versus the hungry undead.


Garden Ops takes both tower defense and horde mode elements from other games, with a silly PvZ spin. You take the role of one of four plants, each with numerous variants to choose from. Do you want to play as an ice cactus with a slow attack or a fire cactus with a flamethrower today? I went with the Toxic Peashooter, who felt like a scout in your standard third-person shooter. He was quick, and his short pea burst shots with an extra poisonous kick did a medium amount of damage. Digging underground and swallowing up whole unsuspecting zombies as the Chomper was great too.
