It's still uncertain what Steven Spielberg will be directing next, but a new rumor cropped up this morning suggesting that the filmmaker has his sights set on Montezuma, "an epic tale of the kinship and ultimately the bloody collision between Montezuma and Cortez as the latter led the Spanish infiltration into Mexico," Deadline describes, with Javier Bardem to play Hernando Cortez.
