Only two months after launching the Surface Pro 2 tablet, Microsoft has discretely upgraded the processor in newly shipped units. According to a report from The Verge, the new processor speed has bumped up to 1.9GHz with an Intel i5 4300U processor, compared to the 1.6GHz Intel i5 4200U packed into the device at launch.
"Microsoft routinely makes small changes to internal components over the lifetime of a product, based on numerous factors including supply chain partnerships, availability, and value for our customers," said a Microsoft representative.
