The Fox #3 Review IGN All

f3-0v It's nice to see that producing fun, borderline silly, comic books is making a comeback. There is plenty of dark, intense books on the stands, so when something comes along that's a change of pace, it's worth paying attention to. The Fox is one of these titles, a light-hearted adventure that's filled with bizarre humor, old-school superheroes and cartoony action. It's just plain fun, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.


Dean Haspiel plots the story while Mark Waid handles the dialogue. It makes for a strange issue, that opens with our hero holding a severed head that very much resembles his own, while complaining about a lack of ice cream in his future. You get stuff like this all through out, big zany moments mixed with weird humor and action. It's fun, there's really no other word for it. Thanks to a backup story by J.M. DeMatteis and Mike Cavallaro, The Fox #3 feels thick, too. You get a lot of bang for your buck here, and that is definitely something to celebrate.
