Man of Steel and Batman Begins scribe David Goyer is attached to direct The Breach, a new film set up at Lionsgate, based on author Patrick Lee's 2009 novel. Lorenzo di Bonaventura will produce the movie, with Justin Rhodes penning the script.
Described by THR as a sci-fi action thriller, the story follows "a corrupt ex-cop who is trying to get his life back in order when he discovers a crashed plane in the Alaska wilderness. The first lady is among those dead in the wreckage. That sets off an adventure featuring a beautiful survivor, assassins, a secret organization, alien technology and an end-of-the-world scenario."
