New versions of Disney Infinity using the Marvel and Star Wars properties are in development, the Wall Street Journal reports.
The news comes paired with reports that Disney's interactive media branch is preparing to lay off "several hundred people despite a strong launch for its video game, 'Infinity.'" When it released in August 2013, Disney sold over three million copies of its toy and video game product.
Disney acquired Lucasfilm and the Star Wars license in 2012. Infinity already uses several of the media company's various properties, including The Incredibles, Monsters, Inc., and Pirates of the Caribbean.
