Showtime's new horror series Penny Dreadful, premiering May 11th, takes place in London in 1891 - a place where there are all sorts of things that go bump in the night. Executive producers John Logan and Sam Mendes, the team behind Skyfall, are imagining a world where the history of horror is interlocking, including some very familiar characters from literature and film. The cast includes Eva Green (Casino Royale), Josh Hartnett (Black Hawk Down), Billie Piper (Doctor Who) and no less than a former James Bond, Timothy Dalton.
Beginning early next week, Penny Dreadful's website (currently containing production blogs) will change to a much different, immersive and interactive experience, which will take you deep into the world of the series, giving you more insight into what to expect. Content will include an interactive tarot card experience, character cinemagraphs and literary elements as a nod to the characters' history. IGN has your first look at new photos and bios for the main characters that will be a part of the site - along with a peek at the plans of a certain doctor and inventor named Frankenstein.
