With so many DC annuals kicking off or closing out or otherwise tying into larger storylines these days, it's always nice to get an issue that has no greater ambition than to tell a good, clean, standalone story. That's something Batgirl Annual #2 offers. This issue offers writer Gail Simone a chance to dabble with the Birds of Prey again. But the real focus is the pairing between Batgirl and Poison Ivy. Simone proves there's no shortage of potential between these two ladies.
