Looks like Coach will be sticking around for some extra innings.
According to TVLine, New Girl's Damon Wayans, Jr. has been promoted to a series regular for Season 4.
Wayans Jr. appeared in every episode of New Girl since his character, Coach, returned, but had been listed as a "special guest star" throughout Season 3.
Wayans Jr. was originally a member of the show, appearing as Coach in the 2011 pilot episode, before heading to ABC's Happy Endings (*sob* RIP Happy Endings) after that series was officially picked up (Wayans Jr. was only in "second position" for New Girl) .
